Local Sawmill in Central Florida…

Specialty Wood Products…

Skilled Sawyers & Professional Service…

Stutzman specializes in the custom milling of locally sourced softwoods and hardwoods. Are you creating a custom wood project?  Are you looking for hard to find live edge slabs? Need rough sawn lumber? Hard to find large timber beams? Want neat looking, but inexpensive first cut log left overs, for a creative project? Check out the Stutzman Sawmill!

We are a family owned and operated sawmill in the Dade City area since the 1980’s. We can provide you with a variety of specialty woods in custom cuts, rough cut lumber, with or without pressure treating, pine shavings for animal bedding, sawdust for shop clean up, and more.

Do you know about urban wood recycling? This is the practice of taking trees that would otherwise be thrown into a landfill, chipped, burned, or otherwise destroyed into something that can continue to be used. It can then be repurposed for many uses like making a new building, trailer decking, building siding, fencing, furniture, cabinets, or a creative project. Stutzman is happy to support this practice by using wood that is harvested locally from our own tree service, nearby timber harvesters, and local property owners to create your next order.

Our team at the Sawmill is led by Kendal Stutzman, a third generation Stutzman Sawyer.

Josh Williams operating as the Lead Sawyer can mill your logs into the requested dimensions for an hourly rate. Our equipment is designed to cut logs that are up to 76” wide. We proudly run multiple types of equipment including a Woodmizer Band Saw, Lucas Mill Dedicated Slabber, Woodmizer Flattener, and a custom large volume wood kiln. With that setup we can take your project from log form to timber form, then kiln dry, plan, and make it ready for use on your next project. We have the ability to create beams, mantels, wood cookies, small to large slabs, flat or live edges, and many other pieces for your interesting projects. We want to be your trusted source for the wood on your next creative endeavor and can offer delivery in many circumstances.

Whether you are a DIY enthusiast or a contractor, we look forward to working together in the future.

Proudly serving the towns of Dade City, San Antonio, Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Tampa, Brooksville, Lakeland, and many more throughout Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando, and Polk Counties.

Sawmill Products We Provide

As a custom sawmill we do not have all products on hand at all times. However, we often have harder to find products like Oak, Old Growth Pine, Cedar, Cypress, Hickory, as well as exotics like Monkey Pod, Camphor Mahogany, Pecky Cypress, etc. If you are looking for something unusual, ask us, the worst we can do is say I’m sorry we do not have any right now. We are happy to cut what you are looking for, as long as we have the stock on hand, and it will not disrupt other orders already in place.

The Sawmill is open to the public, Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm, weather permitting. Feel free to stop in when we are open or give us a call (352) 521-3032 to discuss your next order. We look forward to talking or meeting you soon!
